98% - Freins Production
Adding depth to a love story born in eight minutes of speed dating.
The project
My role on set
and artistic approach
On the short film “98%”, produced by Freins Production in Aix-en-Provence, I had a dual role: camera assistant and in charge of special effects. The film tells the story of a romance born at a speed-dating event, blending humour, sensitivity and emotional truth.
As camera assistant, I helped keep the shoot running smoothly, managed the lenses, tracked the actors precisely and maintained visual consistency throughout the film. That technical rigour allowed the lighting team and the director to work in the best conditions.
For the special effects, I created subtle, immersive interventions designed to strengthen the story without distracting from it. The aim was to add depth to certain key scenes while respecting the film’s delicate, realistic aesthetic.
This project was a chance to combine technical precision and a sense of storytelling, in the service of a touching, human story.
