The project

Concept
& building the story

For the 2024 edition of Nage ta Seine, I edited the event’s official video, with the aim of conveying the full intensity of this exceptional swim across Paris. Between sporting performance, collective emotion and environmental commitment, the film had to capture the essence of an event that goes far beyond a competition.

From a large volume of footage shot in real conditions, I built a smooth, immersive story, alternating between the urban atmosphere, sports sequences, moments of preparation and interviews with participants. The pacing of the edit follows the event’s progression: the rising tension at the start, the swimmers’ intense effort in the river, then the emotion at the finish, carried by the crowd and the volunteers.

This project was designed as a film in its own right: narrative, committed, energetic — content that celebrates the sporting achievement as much as the human and environmental side of the event.
