Series rather than a single film
An app, a training programme or internal communications sometimes call for dozens of consistent videos. On the 240 sessions of the MOOVA app, a good part of the editing went through my hands.

Research, industry and campuses · Grenoble
Presqu’île laboratories, Grésivaudan companies, campuses, congresses at Alpexpo: an hour and twenty minutes from Lyon, Grenoble is almost part of my usual patch. I come for a single day or for a series of shoots spread over the year.

What matters in Grenoble
An hour and twenty minutes by train separates Part-Dieu from Grenoble station. This proximity changes the way of working: we can film in several sessions, come back for a missing shot, follow a project for months with no hotel costs.

MOOVA · 240 sessions
Students, young engineers and athletes watch on their phones first. As for Teddy Riner’s OLY app, I design every frame so that it also works in 9:16.
OLY · 9:16 format
With a direct regional train up to twice an hour, or an hour and a half by road, I am on site early in the morning and back in the evening: no hotel night to plan.

Case studies
A library of 240 sessions, the launch of an app in vertical format, a company anniversary over one day: three projects that resemble the requests of schools, start-ups and Grenoble businesses. Each case study shows the result.
ASPTT · MOOVA
The ASPTT was launching MOOVA, its app dedicated to sport and well-being, with a library of 240 sessions of 20 to 30 min, from yoga to strength training. My role: editing a large share of the sessions and managing exports and deliverables, around 17 TB of files tracked line by line in a production spreadsheet. A university, a training organisation or a company preparing a catalogue of online modules needs this same rigour.

OLY × TEDDY RINER
For OLY, a sports coach in your pocket conceived with Teddy Riner, launch videos designed for the phone were needed. I produced this content in 9:16: the judoka facing the camera and exercises shown step by step, in a dark set crossed by green neon lights. For an Inovallée start-up or a Grenoble sports club, this is the kind of format that makes a product known on Instagram, TikTok and LinkedIn.

KOEZIO · 20 YEARS
Koezio celebrated its twentieth anniversary with its teams: team building, conferences, then an evening party. The film moves from team challenges to speeches, then to the evening festivities, without losing the thread. A seminar in Chamrousse, in the Vercors or at Alpexpo raises the same question: how to keep a narrative when the mood changes three times in a day.

Services
Research laboratories and institutes, Grésivaudan manufacturers, Inovallée start-ups, schools and universities, clubs and sporting events: each film starts from the person who will watch it.
Explaining a research profession or cutting-edge production to clients, funders or candidates: we build a simple thread, I film according to the site’s rules, then I deliver the film and its variations.

Length and format are decided according to the target audience and where they will watch the video. Here are the combinations that most often suit the laboratories, start-ups and schools of the metropolitan area.
| Goal | Format | Length | Where to publish it | Why it works |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Presenting a laboratory | Corporate film → | About 2 min | Website, partners, funders | What you are looking for, what you find, and why it matters. |
| Convince a future client | Client testimonial → | 1 to 2 min | Prospecting, LinkedIn | A client explains in their own words what your solution changed. |
| Recruiting rare profiles | Employer brand video → | 90 s + portraits | Careers page, campus | Teams showing their daily life, more telling than a job ad. |
| Bring a congress back to life | Aftermovie → | 1 to 3 min | Participants, sponsors, social media | The essence of the event condensed: a thank-you to participants and a taste of what is next. |
| Feed an account | Reels and vertical formats → | 15 to 45 s | Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn | One filming session, several weeks of posts. |
| Make an innovation visible | Motion design and 3D → | 1 to 2 min | Trade shows, fundraising | A clear animation for what happens at the nanometre scale. |
Grenoble, the practical side
A shoot in the street or on a square is notified to the City beforehand; on a private site, it is the owner’s permission that counts.
Strict urban rules, Le Versoud aerodrome in the Grésivaudan: every flight is checked before being proposed.
The massifs surrounding the city shorten direct light in winter: I schedule exteriors accordingly.
A shoot during a trade show is prepared with the organiser: accreditation, set-up slots, filming zones.
Grenoble settings
A flat city ringed by mountains: within minutes, you go from a laboratory to a cable car, from a lecture hall to an alpine pasture. Six areas to keep in mind.
The cable-car bubbles, the fort and the view over the whole basin: the obvious opening shot, to be filmed at dawn, before the crowds, in raking light.
Squares, covered market, cafés and shopping streets: the ideal backdrop for an entrepreneur’s portrait, a local shop or a film about student life.
Between the Drac and the Isère, international research institutes and recent buildings: filming there is by permission, with a contact person per site and zones not to be shown.
From Meylan to Crolles, start-ups, SMEs and large industrial sites along the Isère: offices, workshops and technical rooms about twenty minutes from the centre.
The university estate, its lecture halls and lawns: ideal for a school, a university laboratory or a video aimed at students, subject to the institution’s permission.
Massifs less than an hour away: seminars in ski resorts, sporting events, outdoor brand films. Weather, access and nature-area rules are checked the day before.
Steps
Brief remotely or on site, filming in Grenoble, editing in Lyon: proximity means we can meet when useful, without making it a constraint.
Objective, audience, locations: you receive a clear proposal, with an on-site meeting if needed.
Scouting, permits from the site or the City, interview questions, session schedule for a series.
Interviews: half a day. Film or conference: one or two days. Series: as many sessions as planned episodes.
Editing, colour grading, sound and animation; your comments are noted on each version, online.
Film or series
Because Grenoble is very close to Lyon, a series of videos filmed in several sessions costs little in travel. You still need to choose the right formula from the start.
A lead film can in fact open a series. For a recurring programme with a studio, several cameras or a live broadcast, a much larger film crew is needed.
Studio or live: see my Grenoble video production page →A project in several episodes?
A quick call to set the number of episodes and the filming pace, no obligation.

The videographer
A director since 2018, I film and edit myself, animation, 3D and visual effects included. For a conference or a dense series, a camera operator or a sound technician comes to support me; you always deal with me.
Among my references: the ASPTT’s MOOVA library, the launch of the OLY app with Teddy Riner, Mars Wrigley at the TFWA, the DGAEV’s 14 July, the Afterwork Running in Valence. As Grenoble is an hour and twenty minutes from Lyon, I can come and meet you even before quoting.
FAQ · Grenoble
Anything else to ask me? One message is enough, I reply within one business day.
The cost depends mainly on writing, the number of sessions, post-production and options (3D, aerial shots, subtitling, short versions). Thanks to the proximity of Lyon, travel remains a small item: regional train ticket or car, no accommodation. The detail of each item is in my video pricing guide.
Yes, as soon as the shoot occupies public space (pavement, square, park) with equipment or a crew. I contact the City of Grenoble’s departments several weeks beforehand to learn the conditions and lead times. In a private interior, only the manager’s green light counts.
Often, but not everywhere. In the built-up area, flying is reserved for registered operators, within a precise framework. Around it, Le Versoud aerodrome and the nature reserves of the massifs have their own rules. Each zone is checked and declarations made; failing that, a view from the Bastille or a viewpoint often does the job.
Yes, following the institution’s protocol: required clothing, limited and declared equipment, certain screens or devices kept out of frame. When the subject is sensitive, the images are shown to you before any release, and confidential parts can be handled with animation.
Yes. Alpexpo offers 42,000 m² of halls, an auditorium of up to 1,500 seats and the Summum, a 5,000-seat concert hall. I film conferences, stands and atmosphere, and produce a summary and clips. For several rooms in parallel, I come with a second operator.
No: by direct regional train, Part-Dieu is only about 1 h 20 from Grenoble station, with frequent departures during the day. By car, allow about 1 h 30 on the road. No need to book a hotel for a day on site.
Yes: presentation films, portraits of students or alumni, conference recordings, educational series. The 240 MOOVA sessions taught me to organise a large number of consistent videos, with files and versions kept up to date.
Throughout the metropolitan area and beyond: Meylan, Montbonnot, Crolles, Échirolles, Seyssinet-Pariset, Saint-Égrève, Voiron, Vizille, and up to the resorts of the Vercors, Chartreuse and Belledonne. Chambéry and Annecy are also within reach.
For an institutional film, a series or an event, a videographer-director, supported if needed, offers flexibility and a controlled budget. For a multi-camera studio, a programme or a live broadcast, you need a larger team: I describe them on my page Grenoble video production.
Yes. We define a template together (length, branding, standard shots), then I film in sessions and edit as we go. Exports are adapted to your platform: online training tool, app, YouTube or intranet.
Yes, that is what I did for OLY and Teddy Riner: 9:16 framing planned at the shoot, subtitles readable without sound, and if needed a horizontal version delivered alongside for the website.
April-May and October often give the most beautiful light on the massifs. In winter, snow on the summits provides superb backdrops, but the days are short. In summer, the heat builds quickly in the basin: I favour mornings for exteriors.
Yes, that is the advantage of proximity. An on-site meeting or a location scout is easy to arrange, in addition to video calls and edit versions to annotate online.
You publish them freely on your channels: website, social media, trade shows, presentations, intranet. The purchased music covers these uses; a TV campaign or billboard use requires an extended licence, provided for in the quote.
