Why businesses choose me

Three strengths few
videographers combine.

A director who writes, films, edits and creates his own visual effects: your films gain a signature, without multiplying suppliers.

Visual effects, 3D, motion design: I create them myself, with no subcontractor. Your films gain a signature the camera alone cannot give.

Case studies

Three shoots,
three ways of working.

Every project starts from a precise goal. Here is how I turned it into images, from the filming set-up to the delivered videos. Each case study links to its detailed page, with the film.

Mars Wrigley stand at the TFWA show in Cannes

MARS WRIGLEY · TFWA CANNES · 2025

Bringing a trade show stand to life on video

At the TFWA show in Cannes, Mars Wrigley wanted to keep a record of the energy on its stand: activities, tastings, spontaneous exchanges with visitors. I filmed handheld and in natural light, to blend into the flow without getting in the way of the sales teams. Tight shots on the products, fast tracking shots, slow motion on gestures: the edit keeps a brisk pace that conveys the atmosphere of the stand. The film has since served as a communication tool for the brand, to show its presence at the show to those who were not there.

Runners at the Afterwork Running in Valence

AFTERWORK RUNNING · VALENCE · 2025

Filming 2,500 runners without missing what matters

The Afterwork Running brought together more than 2,500 runners from 170 companies at the Parc de l’Épervière, with 120 volunteers on hand. The challenge: telling the switch from the office day to this collective, sporty and friendly moment. I prepared the shoot in advance with the organisers to scout the course and the highlights, then filmed in the heart of the pack, from start to finish. The official film shows the scale of the event as much as the faces, to make companies want to come back the following year.

DGAEV film at Les Invalides, 14 July

DGAEV · 14 JULY AT LES INVALIDES · 2022

An accurate, respectful institutional film

For the DGAEV, I filmed and then edited the 14 July ceremony at Les Invalides. A shoot where you have to be precise without ever disturbing: protocol, official speeches, symbolic gestures. I worked in close coordination with the organising team to be in the right place at every key moment. In the edit, the challenge was to balance solemnity, emotion and pace. The film lets the DGAEV showcase the event and share its significance with its audiences.

05

Drone filming

As a DGAC-certified drone pilot, I prepare every flight. In Lyon, much of the airspace is regulated and some areas require authorisation: I handle the paperwork. If authorisation is refused, I let you know before the day and we adapt the sequence.

Compositing, 3D objects integrated into live footage, animated titles, infographics: I make them myself. That is what made it possible to integrate an SR-71 Blackbird into the Victador film, and it is rare for an independent videographer.

Choosing a format

Which video for
which goal?

Before talking cameras, we talk about what the video should achieve. Here are the formats I make most often for Lyon businesses, what they are for and where to publish them.

GoalFormatLengthWhere to publish itWhy this format
Present your companyCorporate film 1 min 30 to 3 minHomepage, trade shows, sales meetingsThe film that answers “who are you and why you?”. Interviews with executives, footage of teams and premises, with a storyline written in advance.
Reassure your prospectsClient testimonial 1 to 2 minWebsite, LinkedIn, sales proposalsA client describes their problem and what you changed. It is the most convincing format in B2B, because it is not you doing the talking.
RecruitEmployer brand video 1 to 2 min + short formatsCareers page, LinkedIn, job boardsYour employees talk about their job, in their own environment. We film once and cut several short portraits.
Showcase an eventAftermovie 1 to 3 min + 30 s teaserSocial media, newsletter, next editionSeminar, convention, party: the aftermovie keeps the memory of the event and becomes a selling point for the next edition.
Be visible on social mediaReels and vertical formats 15 to 60 sLinkedIn, Instagram, TikTokShort formats framed in 9:16 from the shoot, subtitled, designed to be understood without sound.
Explain an offerMotion design or product video 45 s to 2 minWebsite, demos, trade showsWhen what you sell is hard to film, animation and visual effects make ideas concrete and easy to remember.

Lyon, my home ground

Filming in Lyon: what to plan ahead.

Filming permits

Filming in Lyon’s public spaces must be declared in advance to the City. I prepare the application and the shooting plan with you.

Drone in urban areas

Lyon’s airspace is largely regulated. I check each area and handle the paperwork before the day.

Locations, access, light

Scouting, access and noise constraints, best time of day for light: everything is settled before the camera comes out.

The whole metropolitan area

Villeurbanne, Vénissieux, Saint-Priest, Bron, Écully, Limonest, Caluire… and Eurexpo for your trade shows.

Filming in Lyon

Lyon, district
by district.

Lyon offers very different settings just minutes apart. Choosing the right location already says something about your company.

Part-Dieu

Lyon’s business heart: office towers, bright lobbies, streams of travellers. Ideal for illustrating a services company, a regional office or a headquarters. Interiors are easy to film; exterior views mean working around the station’s activity.

Confluence

Contemporary architecture, Saône riverbanks and recent offices: a modern setting for tech companies, brands and innovative projects. The late-afternoon light on the quays is an asset for atmosphere shots.

Presqu’île and Old Lyon

Squares, traboules, listed façades: Lyon’s heritage gives character to a brand film or a prestige event. These are also the busiest districts, where a shoot needs more careful preparation.

Gerland and the Biodistrict

Laboratories, healthcare company headquarters, major sports facilities. We often film processes, technical rooms and teams at work there, with access and safety rules to plan for.

Eurexpo and trade shows

In Chassieu, Eurexpo hosts the region’s major trade shows. Filming a stand means knowing the set-up hours, the supplier badges and the times when the aisles are busiest.

Techlid and west Lyon

Écully, Dardilly, Limonest: business parks, SME and mid-cap headquarters, corporate campuses. Quieter shoots, perfect for interviews, employer branding and client testimonials.

Choosing well

Independent videographer
or video agency?

Both have their advantages. The right choice depends on the size of the project, the budget and the level of support you need.

A video agency

  • — Several teams and trades under one roof.
  • — Relevant for very large productions: multi-camera shoots over several days, studio sets, national campaigns.
  • — Several intermediaries between you and the person filming.
  • — Overheads built into the quote.

An independent videographer-director

  • + The same director, from brief to delivery.
  • + The person who writes your film is the one who films and edits it.
  • + Visual effects and motion design made in-house, with no subcontracting.
  • + A bigger crew (second camera operator, sound engineer) when the project calls for it.
  • + A budget focused on what shows on screen.

For the vast majority of corporate videos — corporate films, testimonials, aftermovies, social formats — an experienced independent offers the same image quality with more responsiveness. For a very large-scale production, I will honestly point you towards a bigger structure.

Portrait of Quentin Berguet, videographer and director in Lyon

Your contact

Quentin Berguet,
director in Lyon.

Since 2018, I have been writing, filming and editing corporate films. I cover the whole chain — writing, filming, editing, colour grading, sound and visual effects — and, depending on the project, I bring in a second camera operator, a sound engineer or an assistant. You keep the same director from the first call to delivery.

My films have supported brands like Mars Wrigley, events like the Cannes Lions and fast-growing companies like Koezio. In Lyon as elsewhere, I am after the same thing: an honest film that serves a precise goal.

Frequently asked questions

Everything about a shoot in Lyon.

A question that isn’t here? Write to me, I reply within 24 business hours.

What budget should I plan for a corporate film in Lyon?

The budget mainly depends on the number of filming and editing days, the crew involved and the options: drone, visual effects, format variations. For a shoot in the Lyon metropolitan area, no accommodation costs are added. You receive a detailed line-by-line quote within 24 business hours, and my guide “ Cost of a corporate video ” explains what makes the price vary.

Do I need a permit to film in Lyon?

Yes, for a professional shoot in public spaces: the application is made in advance to the City of Lyon, and I prepare it with you. In a private location (offices, venue, factory), the owner’s agreement is enough.

Can you film with a drone in Lyon?

Yes. I am a DGAC-certified drone pilot. Much of Lyon’s airspace is regulated: I check each area and handle the paperwork before the shoot. Without authorisation, I let you know before the day and we adapt the plan.

How fast do you deliver?

From a few days for a short video to about three weeks for a full film. For an event in Lyon — seminar, trade show at Eurexpo, company party — a first short video can be delivered in under 72 hours, to share it while the event is still fresh in people’s minds.

Do you work alone?

You work with the same director: me. Depending on the project, I add a second camera operator, a sound engineer or an assistant, whom I coordinate. For event coverage in Lyon with several rooms or several speakers at the same time, I often recommend a second camera operator.

How many rounds of revisions are included?

2 to 4 rounds are included in every project, until you have a version you are happy with. If you are in Lyon or the metropolitan area, we can watch the first version together, at your offices or by video call, to note feedback live.

Which formats do you deliver?

Every film is delivered in the formats of your channels: horizontal for your website and screens, vertical for Instagram, TikTok and stories, square for the LinkedIn feed, with subtitles if needed. For a stand at a Lyon trade show, at Eurexpo or the Cité Internationale, I also plan a looped version, without sound, for the screens.

Do you travel outside Lyon?

Yes: across the metropolitan area, in Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes (Grenoble, Saint-Étienne, Annecy, Valence) and all over France, from Paris to the French Riviera.

What is the difference between a videographer and a production company?

A production company brings together several people: producer, director, camera operators, editors. As an independent videographer-director in Lyon, I handle the writing, filming and post-production myself: the same director, direct communication and a budget focused on the image. For a bigger set-up (studio, multi-camera, several days), see my page video production in Lyon.

How long does a shoot in Lyon take?

Most corporate videos are filmed in half a day or a day: interviews in the morning, illustrative footage in the afternoon. As I live in Lyon, there are no hotel costs or travel days to plan within the metropolitan area. An event is filmed over its actual duration, sometimes two days for a seminar. I send you a detailed schedule before the shoot.

Who writes the message of the video?

We write it together. If you are in Lyon or the metropolitan area, the first meeting can take place at your offices: that is often where the best shot ideas come from. I ask you about your audience, your message and the intended use, then write a statement of intent and, if needed, an interview outline or a script. You approve each step before the shoot.

Our teams are not comfortable on camera. What do we do?

That is the case for almost everyone. I don’t make anyone recite a script: I ask questions and let each person answer in their own words. I usually film at your workplace, in Lyon or the metropolitan area — office, workshop, laboratory: people are more at ease there than in a studio. The edit keeps only the best moments.

Can we use the video everywhere?

Yes. The delivered videos are yours for your communication: website, social media, trade shows, sales presentations, online advertising. Music is licensed for these uses. For a Lyon company, the most common package is a film for the website, versions for LinkedIn and a version for trade shows: I plan these formats from the quote stage. For TV broadcast or a national campaign, let me know so the rights can be adapted.

Do you offer subtitles and an English version?

Yes. I offer a French-subtitled version, essential on social media where most videos are watched without sound. An English-subtitled version or a voice-over can be added: useful for Lyon companies working with Switzerland or internationally.
