What makes the difference in Aix

Companies that
want concrete results.

In Aix, I am rarely asked for a pretty film for its own sake. People want to show expertise, reassure a client, recruit an engineer. So I start from that goal, then find the images that answer it, with no detours.

A clean room, an industrial process, an environmental innovation: when the camera only shows part of the story, I add animation and 3D that I make myself.

Easy from Lyon

The Aix-en-Provence TGV station, on the Arbois plateau, is about 1 h 25 from Part-Dieu on the fastest services: a day of filming often fits within a day return.

Case studies

Seminar, sport
and visual effects.

A company anniversary, a race bringing together 170 companies, a brand film in compositing: three projects that answer the requests I get from the Pays d’Aix, from seminar estates to companies on the Arbois plateau. The film is on each case study.

Koezio’s 20th anniversary party

KOEZIO · 20 YEARS

A company day told from start to finish

For its twentieth anniversary, Koezio organised a full day: team games, conferences, then an evening party. The film follows that thread, from the playground to the conference room and on to the party. On a day like this, you have to change register several times without losing the pace, and keep enough footage for a short film as well as a longer one. That is exactly what a seminar in a country house in the Pays d’Aix calls for: workshop in the morning, plenary in the afternoon, dinner and entertainment in the evening.

AFTERWORK RUNNING · 2025

One race, 170 companies, one official film

In Valence, the Afterwork Running brought together employees from 170 companies, more than 2,500 participants, with 120 volunteers and a 700 m² welcome village. I broke the event down into key moments before the start, then filmed in the heart of the race and in the village to show team spirit as much as effort. A race or inter-company challenge in the Les Milles business park is prepared in exactly the same way.

VICTADOR · VFX

When live footage is no longer enough

For Victador, working with Yaxo in Toronto and in English, we had to make an SR-71 Blackbird fly credibly above the road, behind exceptional cars. I did all the compositing and rotoscoping, in Blender and Fusion, while Adrien Lafourcade and I reworked the aircraft and its logo. This know-how also serves industrial companies in the Pays d’Aix: showing the inside of a machine, simulating a product, making a technology visible.

Services

The videos I film
in the Pays d’Aix.

Industrial firms in Rousset and the upper Arc valley, companies in Les Milles and La Duranne, start-ups on the Arbois plateau, schools, cultural venues and seminar estates: every request is different, and I build the film around what it must achieve.

01

Corporate and industrial film

Presenting a site, a production line, a laboratory or a team: we write the outline first, then I film according to your internal rules, including safety and industrial confidentiality. A main film and variations for prospecting and hiring.

Reels, stories, series: the smartphone guides my framing from the start, as for the vertical portraits of Teddy Riner for OLY. For an establishment or an employer who is recruiting, a short series is often worth more than a long film.

Aix, the practical side

Filming in Aix-en-Provence: what to plan ahead.

The City’s film office

Requests go through the Bureau cinéma (Events and Protocol department): complete file, ten days of processing minimum.

Drone and aerodromes

Les Milles aerodrome, Marignane airport nearby: each sector is checked before committing to an aerial shot.

Opera festival

In July (2 to 21 in 2026), the Archevêché, the Grand Théâtre and the Jeu de Paume live to the rhythm of the Festival.

Massifs and fire risk

In summer, access to massifs such as Sainte-Victoire is regulated according to fire risk: we check the day before.

Settings of the Pays d’Aix

Aix, from the Rotonde
to Sainte-Victoire.

Historic centre, cultural districts, business parks and Cézanne landscapes: within twenty minutes’ drive, the setting changes completely. Six areas to consider for your film, each with its own constraints: crowds in the centre, safety rules on industrial sites, regulated access to the massifs in summer.

Cours Mirabeau and the Mazarin district

Plane trees, fountains, mansion façades: the elegant heart of the city. Perfect for presenting a firm, a practice or a hotel, as long as you film early or off-season, when the terraces empty.

Sextius district and Grand Théâtre

The Grand Théâtre de Provence, the Pavillon Noir of the Ballet Preljocaj and, close by, the Conference Centre: a contemporary area for conferences, cultural events and artist portraits.

Les Milles business park and La Duranne

Head offices, offices, workshops and laboratories to the south-west of the city: the setting for many corporate and recruitment films, with easy access and few neighbourhood constraints.

Arbois plateau and TGV station

Around the Aix-en-Provence TGV station, the Arbois plateau is home to companies focused on the environment and innovation: handy for a short shoot, between two trains.

Upper Arc valley and Rousset

The Rousset microelectronics hub and the valley’s industrial sites: clean rooms, sensitive equipment, strict access rules. Scouting and approval of each shot are essential there.

Sainte-Victoire and the painters’ landscape

The mountain painted by Cézanne, the country houses and wine estates around it: much sought-after settings for seminars and brand films, with access to the massifs restricted in summer because of the fire risk.

Seminars

Keepsake film or content
for communication?

Many companies come to hold their seminar in a country house or estate in the Pays d’Aix. Before filming, you need to know what the video will be used for: the answer changes the number of interviews, the pace of the shoot and even the music.

A keepsake film for the team

  • — The laughter, the workshops, the evening: emotion above all.
  • — Shared internally, often the following week.
  • — Upbeat music, few or no interviews.
  • — Ideal for thanking and uniting the participants.

Content for your communication

  • + Key messages delivered by your executives.
  • + Short portraits for employer branding.
  • + Subtitled clips for LinkedIn.
  • + Footage you can reuse on your website.
  • + A shooting plan designed for these uses.

The two can be combined on the same day, provided it is planned from the start: some shots cannot be made up later. If you are planning a studio set, several cameras or a live broadcast, a production company will be better suited.

The videographer

Quentin Berguet,
Lyon videographer.

Since 2018, I have been designing, filming and editing videos, animation and visual effects included. On a seminar or a large site, I bring in a second camera operator or sound support; your contact stays the same.

My references range from a confectioner’s stand at the TFWA to the DGAEV film at Les Invalides, via Koezio, the ASPTT and Victador. For the Pays d’Aix, I prepare each trip from Lyon, scouting included when needed.

FAQ · Aix-en-Provence

Filming in
the Pays d’Aix.

A question for me? Write to me: I reply the next business day.

How much does a shoot in the Pays d’Aix cost?

The cost is built from four items: writing and preparation, filming time, post-production, options (drone, animation, short versions). The Lyon–Aix TGV trip weighs little, and accommodation is only added if we start before the first train or if the shoot stretches out. The details of the other parameters are in my price guide.

Who processes filming requests in Aix?

The City’s Bureau cinéma, attached to the Events and Protocol department, processes requests. Processing takes at least ten days from a complete file (insurance, plan, schedule). The municipal tariff provides for a fee per set and per day for occupying public land. In a private venue, the operator’s or owner’s authorisation is enough.

Can Sainte-Victoire be filmed by drone?

Sometimes. You have to check the regulated zones (Les Milles aerodrome, Marignane approach), file declarations with the prefecture and respect the rules specific to natural areas. In summer, access to the massifs can be restricted, even banned, depending on the fire-risk level: I check the day before and plan a shot from a viewpoint if needed.

Can you film a seminar in a country house?

Yes, it is a frequent request. I film workshops, talks and the evening, adapting to the programme and the estate’s light. The venue’s agreement is enough, and I obtain consent from participants filmed up close. The keepsake film can be ready the following week.

And in a factory or a clean room?

Yes, with prior scouting and your rules: protective equipment, restricted areas, compatible equipment, approval of sensitive shots. I keep the crew to the strict minimum and submit the footage to you before any release, to protect your processes.

What is the journey from Lyon?

About 1 h 25 by direct TGV on the fastest services to Aix-en-Provence TGV, with around a dozen services a day, then a shuttle or taxi to the centre. By car, allow about three hours via the A7.

Is a conference at the Aix Conference Centre possible?

Yes. The Aix Conference Centre has a 503-seat auditorium and flexible spaces: I capture the plenary sessions, parallel workshops and networking moments, then edit clips of the talks and a summary film. On a two- or three-day conference, a second camera operator can cover two rooms at once.

Do you work throughout the Pays d’Aix?

Yes: Les Milles, La Duranne, Rousset, Gardanne, Trets, Venelles, Éguilles, Pertuis, Lambesc, and further afield Marseille, Salon-de-Provence or Avignon. Several neighbouring sites can happily be filmed on the same day. For a company based in both Aix and Lyon, I can also ensure visual consistency between the two sites.

Do I need to go through a production company?

For a corporate film, a seminar or interviews, a videographer-director, reinforced if needed, brings flexibility and responsiveness. For a broadcast, a studio set or a multi-camera relay, a full structure is better: the page Aix-en-Provence video production presents these set-ups.

Do you film during the Opera Festival?

For a partner company, a hotel or an associated venue, yes, with the organisers’ agreement. In July (2 to 21 in 2026), the city is very busy and accommodation books up early: for a standard corporate shoot, I would rather advise spring or autumn.

Can you make a recruitment video?

Yes. To attract engineers, technicians or sales staff, I film your teams in their work environment and edit short portraits, designed for LinkedIn, your careers page and the school job fairs in Aix and Marseille. An employee talking about their job often convinces better than a job ad.

Which season should I choose for filming?

April–May and September–October give softer light and comfortable temperatures. In summer, I favour dawn and late afternoon; I also watch the mistral, which hampers outdoor sound recording, and the access rules for the massifs.

How does remote communication work?

A scoping call, a shot list approved in writing, then shared edits that you annotate to the second. If you wish, I come for an on-site scout before the shoot; for an industrial site, it is even strongly recommended.

What rights do I have on the delivered videos?

You can publish the videos on all your communication channels: website, social media, trade shows, presentations. The music is licensed accordingly; rights for television or billboards are negotiated separately, in the quote.
