Defence, sea and business · Toulon
In Toulon, the harbour, the French Navy and cutting-edge industries impose their rules: you do not film just anywhere, or just anyhow. I make corporate films, ceremonies and trade shows there, with 3D in support to show what the camera is not allowed to see.

Why Toulon is different
Military port, monitored waters, prohibited airspace over the urban area: in Toulon, a successful shoot is decided before the day itself. I put together the file for the City, anticipate access and always plan a plan B.
Ceremony, official visit, industrial site: for the DGAEV at Les Invalides, access, positioning and speeches were settled with the organisers before the first shot.
Victador · integrated 3D
Confidential equipment or a prototype cannot always be filmed. Animation, 3D and compositing make it possible to explain it on screen without revealing either the site or sensitive details.
Vertical format · OLY
Allow about three hours by train, often with a connection in Marseille, and a little under four hours by road. I come the day before a shoot: scouting and access checks are done calmly.

Case studies
A national ceremony, an international trade show, a 3D effect for a brand: three projects that answer the needs of institutions and manufacturers in the Var. Each case study lets you watch the film.
DGAEV · INVALIDES
In 2022, I directed the film of the 14 July commemoration for the DGAEV, at Les Invalides. The aim was to convey the significance of a day of tribute and solemnity without ever disturbing the ceremony: symbolic gestures, speeches, the atmosphere of the place, captured along the programme set with the organisers. In editing, restraint and rhythm go hand in hand. In the Var, ceremonies, inaugurations and official visits call for the same discretion.

MARS WRIGLEY · TFWA
At the TFWA, the duty-free show in Cannes, I followed the Mars Wrigley stand from opening to closing: handheld camera, the venue’s light, close-ups and slow motion for colours and materials, visitors caught candidly. The edit keeps the show’s momentum, then the film serves on social media and internally. An exhibitor from the Var on the road, or a congress at the Palais Neptune, is filmed with the same logic.

VICTADOR · 3D
Victador, a brand film produced by Yaxo in Toronto: I handled the compositing of every shot in Fusion, rotoscoping included, and reworked with Adrien Lafourcade the logo and textures of an SR-71 Blackbird slipped behind supercars. For a naval or defence company, the same technique makes confidential equipment, a prototype or a process appear without showing the real site.

Services
Naval and defence manufacturers, institutions, congress organisers, service companies and tourism players: everything starts from the same question, who should see this film, and to do what?
Your trades, your workshops, your teams: a film written together, shot over one or two days depending on permitted access, then cut into clips for your trade shows, website and LinkedIn.

|---|---|---|---|---|
| Present the company | Corporate film → | 2 to 3 min | Website, trade shows, reception | Expertise shown without jargon. |
| Reassure a principal | Client testimonial → | 1 to 2 min | Meetings, LinkedIn | A satisfied client convinces better than a sales pitch. |
| Attract profiles | Employer brand video → | 60 s + portraits | Careers page, job fairs | Technical trades told by those who do them. |

Toulon, the practical side
Complete file to the City three working weeks beforehand; fifteen working days to reserve parking.
LF-P 62 prohibited zone over the urban area: Prefecture and Navy waiver before any flight.
Quays, waters, military surroundings: the City directs you to the Defence authorities, the DDTM and the Prefecture.
Façades and monuments featured: rights to be settled with the owner before filming.
Toulon settings
From the port to the beaches of Le Mourillon, then to the slopes of Mont Faron, the city moves from one setting to another in no time. Here are six areas and the atmosphere specific to each.
Place Victor-Hugo, Opera, alleys and the Cours Lafayette market: colourful façades and neighbourhood life, for a shopkeeper’s portrait, an institutional film or a city-centre mood.
Quays, shuttle boats to La Seyne, the National Navy Museum close by: Toulon’s maritime identity, to be framed with the military surroundings in mind.
Beaches, sheltered coves and Fort Saint-Louis: seaside light for a brand film, an interview facing the sea or a summer evening.
Cable car, Provence Landing memorial and panorama over the whole harbour: the overall view that a drone often cannot offer here.
The former hospital turned creative district: media library, KEDGE, Camondo school, TVT Innovation incubator. A contemporary setting for tech and training.
La Seyne-sur-Mer and its Navale park, the Technopôle de la Mer in Ollioules, Six-Fours: industrial sites, maritime companies and seafront a few kilometres away.
Method
Video call, permit file, filming in the Var, editing in Lyon: nothing moves forward without your approval.
Objective, place, date: a clear quote, travel and night on site included if needed.
File for the City, site access, declared equipment, interview outline.
One day is enough for a ceremony or interviews; two for an on-site corporate film.
Editing, colour grading, mixing, 3D; your comments are left directly on the video.
Public space or protected site
Filming a city-centre street and filming a quay, a workshop or a military site do not require the same procedures. Here is what each case involves.
At Les Invalides, every DGAEV constraint was integrated before the shoot. At a port, a shipyard or an industrial site in the Var, I ask for the same guarantees beforehand. A live broadcast or multi-camera studio is a matter for a production company.
Live, multi-camera: see video production in Marseille →A site to film?
Access, constraints, schedule: twenty minutes on the phone are enough to see what is feasible. No obligation.

About
Since 2018, I have been making corporate, institutional and event films: writing, image, editing, animation and 3D. On a heavier set-up, a second camera operator joins me, and you still deal with me alone.
Among my references: DGAEV (14 July at Les Invalides), Mars Wrigley at the TFWA show, Victador, Koezio, the ASPTT. From Lyon, I come to Toulon for scouting as well as for the shoot.

Three items make up the price: preparation, the number of shooting days, post-production with its options (3D, variations, subtitles). From Lyon, travel and, most of the time, an overnight stay are added, priced separately in the quote. The details are on my pricing page.
A complete file, addressed to its communication department three working weeks before the shoot. Reserving parking requires an order, with fifteen working days of processing, and traffic interruptions are limited to a few minutes per take. I prepare this file for you.
Rarely. The urban area lies within the LF-P 62 prohibited zone: a waiver must be requested from the Var Prefecture and the Navy (CECMED), then a declaration to the City with the flight plan. Failing that, I plan high shots from Mont Faron or a private vantage point.
Yes, with the right contacts. For a maritime or coastal zone, the City passes on the useful contacts (Defence, DDTM, Prefecture) after reviewing the shooting plan. Military installations, on the other hand, are not filmed without explicit consent.
Yes: the commemoration filmed for the DGAEV at Les Invalides is an example. For a naval or defence manufacturer, I settle beforehand the filmable zones and the review of images, and 3D takes over for what remains confidential.
About three hours by train, usually with a change in Marseille, and a little under four hours by car. When the shoot fits in a day, I often stay on site the night before to be at the site first thing in the morning.
Yes: stand, conferences, exhibitor interviews, aisle atmosphere. Mars Wrigley at the TFWA is the example. At the Palais Neptune or at a show where Var companies exhibit, I proceed the same way.
Yes: the metropolitan area (La Seyne-sur-Mer, Six-Fours, Ollioules, La Valette, La Garde, Hyères), the western Var (Sanary, Bandol), the centre and east of the département (Brignoles, Draguignan, Fréjus, Saint-Raphaël), and all of France.
Interviews, ceremony or corporate film: two people at most are enough. As soon as you need a live broadcast, several synchronised cameras or a control room, a production company is better suited: see my page dedicated to video production, in Marseille.
Yes, in-house: simple modelling, materials, animation, integration into real footage. It is the technique used for Victador, and the safest way to present equipment that does not leave the workshop.
Yes: a film about the company and a few employee portraits talking about their job, for the careers page, job fairs and LinkedIn. One day on site, with access approved, is generally enough.
Spring and early autumn give beautiful light without the summer crowds, when beaches and centre are very busy. The mistral, sometimes violent over the harbour, disrupts outdoor sound: better to plan an indoor fallback.
Not necessarily: a video call is enough to scope the project. When the site requires it, I combine scouting and filming in the same trip, and editing follow-up is done online.
Website, social media, trade shows, intranet, reception screens, sales presentations: the music used is licensed for all these media. TV broadcast or billboard campaign: to be mentioned from the quote request.
