I have already filmed in Valence, at the Épervière, on the banks of the Rhône: the official film of an inter-company race, the Afterwork Running. An hour from Lyon, I film for Drôme companies, sporting and cultural events, and Rhône valley studios.

What matters in Valence
Valence is not a faraway destination for me: I have already filmed a large-scale event there, and the city is only an hour from Lyon. Scouting, meetings or a short shoot are easy to schedule, with no accommodation costs.

Compositing · Victador
With La Cartoucherie, in Bourg-lès-Valence, the region has a real animation hub. My own skills in motion design, 3D and compositing let me speak the same language as these teams.
OLY · vertical 9:16
About fifteen regional trains link Part-Dieu to Valence Ville every day in about an hour; by car on the A7, allow roughly the same. A day of filming is a simple day return.

Case studies
An event filmed in Valence itself, a brand film enhanced with compositing, an anniversary day: three projects that reflect what Drôme companies and organisers ask for. Each case study lets you watch the film.
AFTERWORK RUNNING · VALENCE
I directed the official film of the Afterwork Running: an evening race at the Épervière, 2,500 participants, 170 registered companies. Three choices: being in the middle of the pack for the effort and concentration, taking time at the 700 m² village for the smiles and the cohesion, and preparing each highlight in advance to miss none. The film makes the evening’s energy last and showcases the participating companies.

VICTADOR · VFX
Victador is a brand film led from Toronto by Yaxo, entirely in English. My role: all the compositing, frame-by-frame rotoscoping included, in Fusion. With Adrien Lafourcade, I also reworked the logo and 3D materials of a legendary aircraft, the SR-71 Blackbird, integrated into the background of supercars. This know-how interests Drôme companies that want to show a product, a process or a project out of the camera’s reach.

KOEZIO · 20 YEARS
Koezio blew out its twenty candles with its teams: team games, conferences, then a party. The film links these moments while keeping a consistent rhythm and light. A seminar in Valence, a company convention or an evening at a Drôme estate are told in the same way.

Services
Industrial and food companies, sporting-event organisers, local authorities, cultural venues and animation studios: each project begins with a question, what should this film trigger?
Presenting your teams, your site or your expertise: the film is built with you, shot over one to two days, then broken down into short versions for your trade shows and social media.

The right format follows from the objective and the target audience. Here is what I most often recommend to Drôme-Ardèche companies and organisers.
| Goal | Format | Length | Where to publish it | Why it works |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Present the company | Corporate film → | 1 to 3 min | Website, trade shows, reception | Your trades and your teams, in clear images. |
| Convince a prospect | Client testimonial → | 1 to 2 min | Prospecting, LinkedIn | A partner client tells about your collaboration. |
| Recruiting locally | Employer brand video → | 60 s + portraits | Careers site, social media | Your employees present their daily life. |
| Extend an event | Aftermovie → | 1 to 3 min | Participants, sponsors | The official film, shared quickly after the event. |
| Run your social media | Reels and vertical formats → | 15 to 45 s | Instagram, LinkedIn | Teasers and capsules before, during and after. |
| Explain a process | Motion design and 3D → | 1 to 2 min | Website, training, trade shows | What escapes the lens. |
Valence, the practical side
Streets, squares, parks: a shoot with equipment is prepared in liaison with the City, well before the date.
Valence-Chabeuil aerodrome, urban centre, banks of the Rhône: every flight is checked then declared.
The mistral can blow hard in the valley: it complicates outdoor sound and some flights.
Race or festival: access, filming zones and accreditations are negotiated with the organiser.
Valence settings
Old centre, parks on the Rhône banks, business parks and nearby vineyards: settings vary quickly around Valence. Here are six areas, each with its own atmosphere.
Alleys, Maison des Têtes, Saint-Apollinaire cathedral: a heritage setting for a portrait, an institution or a city-centre shop.
The Peynet kiosk esplanade, with views of the Ardèche, and the large neighbouring park: ideal for opening shots, an outdoor interview or a public event.
To the south, on the banks of the Rhône, the park where I filmed the Afterwork Running: a venue made for sporting events and company gatherings.
Briffaut, Rovaltain next to the TGV station, then the neighbouring business parks: offices, workshops and industrial sites, for your corporate films or recruitment videos.
In Bourg-lès-Valence, the former cartridge factory has hosted an animation hub since 2009, with studios such as Folimage: a creative environment for behind-the-scenes footage or portraits.
Northern Côtes-du-Rhône to the north and west, foothills of the Vercors to the east: natural settings a few dozen minutes away, for a countryside seminar or a brand shoot.
Method
Brief remotely or meeting on site, filming in Valence, editing in Lyon: you approve each stage.
Objective, place, date: a clear proposal, travel from Lyon included.
Scouting if needed, highlights listed, permits, interview questions.
Interviews: half a day. Event: one day. Full corporate film: two days.
Editing, colour grading, sound, animations; online feedback on each version.
Inter-company events
When a sporting event brings together dozens of companies, the organiser wants an overall film, and each company would like its own images. The two are prepared differently.
For the Afterwork Running, I made the official film. Content per company requires its own organisation, to be planned from the teams’ registration. For a live broadcast, a company specialised in live is better suited.

About
Since 2018, my job: writing, filming and editing films for companies and events, animation and 3D included. For a large event, a second operator joins me; it is always me who answers you.
I directed the Afterwork Running film in Valence. My other references: the Mars Wrigley stand (TFWA), Victador, Koezio, the DGAEV at Les Invalides, the ASPTT. From Lyon, a scout in Valence is easy to arrange.
FAQ · Valence
Anything else to know? A message is enough.
Writing, shooting time, editing, options (drone, animation, short versions): these are the items that count. From Lyon, travel costs little, with no night on site most of the time. My video pricing page details them one by one.
Yes, for any shoot with equipment in public space: I contact the City of Valence beforehand to learn its rules and lead times. In a private venue, consent comes from the owner.
Sometimes. Valence-Chabeuil aerodrome imposes restrictions on part of the area, flying in urban zones is tightly regulated and the mistral can prevent it. The map is checked, the flight declared, and a ground-level shot takes over if necessary.
Yes: for the Afterwork Running, at the Épervière, I filmed in the middle of the pack, set the camera down at the village and prepared the highlights in advance. Access and filming zones are coordinated with the organiser.
Yes, if planned: a shooting schedule per team, portraits and reactions, then short formats per company. Depending on the number of teams, a second operator becomes necessary.
No: about fifteen direct regional trains a day link Part-Dieu to Valence Ville in about an hour, and the A7 offers a comparable journey. No need to stay overnight for a day of filming.
Yes: production behind the scenes, portraits of animators at work, making-of of a film. As I do animation and 3D myself, I understand the stages of a production and I know what is interesting to show.
Yes: Valence Romans Agglo (Bourg-lès-Valence, Portes-lès-Valence, Romans-sur-Isère), the neighbouring Drôme and Ardèche (Guilherand-Granges, Tournon, Crest, Montélimar), and beyond.
Institutional film, interviews or an event like the Afterwork Running: a videographer-director, supported if needed, handles it. Live broadcasts and multi-camera shoots are a matter for a production company, presented on my dedicated page.
Yes, entirely in-house: animated diagrams, 3D products, compositing, titles. Victador is an example; the same approach serves to present an industrial process or a product in development.
Yes: a short film about the company and portraits of employees, designed for your careers page, LinkedIn and job fairs. One day on site is often enough.
April-June and September-October are ideal for exteriors; in summer, the heat means filming early or late. The mistral, frequent in the valley, needs watching: it disrupts outdoor recording and can ground the drone.
Of course: Valence is close enough for us to meet before filming, on site or in Lyon. The rest of the follow-up goes through video calls and edit versions commented online.
Everywhere: website, social media, trade shows, reception screens, presentations. The music licence covers these uses; television and billboards are provided for in the quote.
