Videographer in
Lille.

Three hours by direct high-speed train separate Lyon from Lille: short enough for a shoot within the day, long enough to organise it properly. In Lille I produce brand films, video series for platforms and vertical formats, from script to final file.

Why come from Lyon

The direct high-speed train
changes everything.

About ten direct high-speed trains link Lyon Part-Dieu to Lille every day: early departure, filming on site, return in the evening if the schedule allows. For several days of shooting, I stay on site and the crew stays the same.

Producing in series

For the ASPTT’s MOOVA app, I took charge of a large part of the editing of 240 videos of 20 to 30 minutes: know-how useful to companies that feed a platform, an intranet or a catalogue.

About three hours

The fastest journey between Lyon Part-Dieu and Lille is around three hours by direct high-speed train. A meeting, a scout or a day of filming therefore fits in a day return.

Case studies

A brand stand at an international trade show, the launch of an app in vertical, a library of 240 sessions: three ways of producing video for a company, from the one-off film to the series. Each case study contains the footage.

MARS WRIGLEY · TFWA

Keeping the energy of a stand

For Mars Wrigley, at the TFWA show in Cannes, I handled the direction, footage and editing of the stand coverage. Mobile camera, natural light, tight shots on textures and colours, slow motion: the film follows the activities and spontaneous exchanges with visitors, at the pace of the show. For a Lille brand exhibiting, at the Lille Grand Palais or elsewhere, it is content that serves all year round.

Teddy Riner filmed in vertical format for OLY

OLY · TEDDY RINER

An app launch in 9:16

OLY is a sports coaching app conceived with Teddy Riner. I produced its launch video content, entirely in vertical: portraits of the champion and exercise demonstrations, on a dark background with green neon lights. The frame, light and rhythm are designed for a phone screen from the shoot onwards. A start-up in the metropolitan area launching a digital product needs the same reflex.

ASPTT · MOOVA

240 videos, one standard of rigour

For MOOVA, the ASPTT’s sport and well-being app, I handled a large part of the editing of 240 sessions of 20 to 30 minutes, as well as export optimisation and deliverables management, over nearly 17 TB of rushes. A tracking spreadsheet kept consistency and deadlines. A company building a catalogue of training courses or tutorials faces exactly these challenges.

Lille, the practical side

Filming in Lille: good to know.

Filming office

Full file to the Filming Reception Office, no later than 20 working days before the date.

Drone

Take-off point stated in the file, prior procedures and Lesquin airport to be factored in.

Braderie

In early September, the Braderie takes over the centre: film elsewhere, or film the event itself.

Weather

Changeable sky and short days in winter: an indoor backup plan is always prepared.

Lille settings

Lille, from Vieux-Lille
to the metropolitan area.

Flemish brick, business stations, former factories converted into digital hubs: the metropolitan area offers very different settings a few metro stops apart. Six areas to know.

Vieux-Lille and Grand’Place

Cobbles, Flemish façades, the Vieille Bourse and its book dealers: the historic heart, ideal for a brand portrait or a city-centre atmosphere.

Euralille and the stations

Around Lille Flandres and Lille Europe, office towers and passenger flows: the setting for a company film or an executive interview.

EuraTechnologies

A former spinning mill turned digital hub, on the banks of the Deûle: the natural setting for the metropolitan area’s start-ups and tech projects.

Citadel and Bois de Boulogne

Vauban’s citadel and its green spaces: calm exteriors for interviews, a sports shoot or breathing-space shots.

Wazemmes and Moulins

Market, wastelands and community venues: lively neighbourhoods for rawer content, a portrait or a field report.

Roubaix and Tourcoing

La Piscine in Roubaix, Plaine Images in Tourcoing, former textile factories: industrial heritage and the image industry, twenty minutes from the centre.

Method

Simple, from brief
to film.

Scoping by video call, file for the City, filming in Lille, editing in Lyon: each version is submitted to you before the next.

What volume?

One film or a whole
series?

A presentation film and a library of tutorials or sessions have neither the same budget nor the same organisation. Here is what changes.

A single film

  • — One story, one main message.
  • — One or two days of filming.
  • — A few clips for social media.
  • — Ideal for presenting or launching.

A video series

  • + A shared template: branding, length, sound.
  • + A shooting schedule per episode.
  • + A deliverables tracking spreadsheet.
  • + Exports adapted to the platform.
  • + Approval episode by episode.

For MOOVA, the editing of 240 sessions relied on rigorous tracking of every file. A series is conceived as a system, not as a sum of films. For a live broadcast or a multi-camera set-up, a production company takes over.

Portrait of Quentin Berguet, videographer and director

About

Quentin Berguet,
videographer-director.

A director since 2018, I design, film and edit videos for brands, companies and events, from the one-off film to the series, with animation and 3D if needed. On large volumes, I bring in reinforcement; you keep the same director.

My references: Mars Wrigley at the TFWA, the OLY launch with Teddy Riner, the editing of the 240 MOOVA videos for the ASPTT, Victador, Koezio, the DGAEV. Thanks to the direct high-speed train, I get from Lyon to Lille in the morning.

FAQ · Lille

Lille:
your questions.

A specific question? Write to me, I reply quickly.

How much does a video filmed in Lille cost?

The price depends on preparation, the number of shooting days, the volume of videos to edit and options (branding, 3D, subtitles). The high-speed train from Lyon and, if needed, a night on site are shown separately. All components are explained on my pricing page.

What procedures to film in the streets of Lille?

The City of Lille goes through its Filming Reception Office: the complete file (insurance certificate, plan of filming and parking zones, any drone take-off point) must arrive no later than 20 working days before the date. I put it together with you.

Can a drone be used in Lille?

Sometimes, with advance planning. The City’s file includes an “aerial filming” section with the take-off point, and a flight in town also requires procedures with the authorities, taking Lille-Lesquin airport into account. Without approval, I work from high vantage points.

And during the Braderie?

On the first weekend of September, the Braderie occupies much of the centre: a corporate shoot is difficult there, but the event itself can be filmed, with a light, mobile set-up in the middle of the crowd.

Can you produce a series of videos?

Yes. For MOOVA, I handled a large part of the editing of 240 sessions of 20 to 30 minutes, with precise tracking of files and deliverables. For a series shot in Lille, I plan a shared template and an episode-by-episode schedule.

Is Lille far from Lyon?

No: about ten direct high-speed trains a day, around three hours of travel. A one-day shoot can be done as a day return; beyond that, I stay on site to chain the days.

Do you film digital product launches?

Yes: the vertical content for the launch of OLY, Teddy Riner’s app, is an example. Demonstrations, portraits, short formats for the app stores and social media are prepared from the writing stage.

Do you work across the whole metropolitan area?

Yes: Villeneuve-d’Ascq, Roubaix, La Madeleine, Tourcoing, Lambersart, Marcq-en-Barœul, but also Lens, Arras, Dunkirk and neighbouring Belgium (Tournai, Kortrijk).

Is a production company needed?

Not for a company film, interviews or an event: a director and, if needed, reinforcement are enough. For a live broadcast, a control room or several synchronised cameras, a production company is better suited: see the page video production in Paris.

Do you do branding and 3D?

Yes, in-house: credits, animated titles, diagrams, 3D elements. For a series, the shared branding gives an identity to all episodes; for a product, 3D shows what cannot be seen.

Do you film executive interviews?

Yes: question preparation, polished framing, clean sound, then editing into a long version and clips. Half a day is often enough for several speakers in the same premises.

When is the best time to film in Lille?

From spring to early autumn, days are long and the light more stable. In winter, daylight fades early: we favour indoors. In early September, the Braderie upends the centre.

Can we meet beforehand?

Yes, the direct high-speed train makes an on-site meeting easy to arrange. Most projects, however, are scoped very well by video call, with versions commented online afterwards.

What uses for the videos?

Website, social media, app, intranet, trade shows, presentations: the music is licensed for these uses. A TV or billboard campaign is flagged at the quote stage.
