European capital, border city, listed centre: Strasbourg calls for films that speak to several audiences at once. I film there for institutions, companies and event organisers, with subtitled versions and the habit of projects run in English.

What sets Strasbourg apart
European institutions, companies oriented towards Germany and Switzerland, visitors from around the world: a Strasbourg film rarely circulates in a single language. I plan the subtitles and the necessary versions from the writing stage.
Victador was produced remotely for Yaxo, in Toronto, entirely in English: exchanges, feedback and deliveries without intermediaries.
Victador · VFX
For the DGAEV, I filmed a 14 July ceremony at Les Invalides: official programme, speeches, solemn venue. A good school of protocol.
Vertical format · OLY
Lyon Part-Dieu and Strasbourg are linked by about ten direct high-speed trains a day, the best times falling under four hours. I come the day before a shoot and only leave after checking the footage.

Case studies
A brand film run in English with Toronto, a national ceremony at Les Invalides, a company anniversary: three scenarios found among Strasbourg’s institutions and businesses. The films can be viewed on each case study.

VICTADOR · YAXO, TORONTO
Yaxo, in Toronto, entrusted me with the compositing of Victador, a brand film where an SR-71 Blackbird emerges behind supercars. Everything was done remotely and in English: rotoscoping and compositing in Fusion on my side, SR-71 rendering and logo refined alongside Adrien Lafourcade. A Strasbourg organisation working with foreign partners will recognise the same way of working here: the same director, in the project’s language.

DGAEV · INVALIDES · 2022
At Les Invalides, on 14 July 2022, I filmed for the DGAEV: tribute, speeches, symbolic gestures and the atmosphere of a place steeped in history, captured in close liaison with the organisers. The editing balances respect and rhythm. An institution organising an awards ceremony, an official visit or a commemoration in Strasbourg expects the same accuracy.

KOEZIO · 20 YEARS
For its twentieth anniversary, Koezio scheduled a team afternoon, conferences and an evening party. The film accompanies these three phases seamlessly, adapting the framing and light to each moment. A corporate event in Strasbourg, at the Palais de la Musique et des Congrès or in a private venue, is prepared with the same attention to guests.

Services
European institutions and organisations, internationally oriented companies, congress organisers, cultural players: each film starts from an audience, a language and a place of distribution.
Your activities, your teams, your sites: a script built together, one or two days of filming, then delivery with subtitles and short formats.

In Strasbourg, the question of language almost always comes with that of format. The pairings that come up most:
| Goal | Format | Length | Where to publish it | Why it works |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Introduce yourself internationally | Corporate film → | 1 to 3 min | Website, trade shows, partners | One film, several language versions. |
| Convince a partner | Client testimonial → | 1 to 2 min | Meetings, LinkedIn | A case study, subtitled if needed. |
| Promote an institution | Institutional film → | 2 to 4 min | Website, social media, screenings | Missions and teams explained clearly. |
| Keep a record of a congress | Aftermovie → | 1 to 3 min | Participants, partners | The highlights, delivered a few days later. |
| Reach several countries | Reels and vertical formats → | 15 to 45 s | LinkedIn, Instagram | A short version per distribution language. |
| Explain a programme | Motion design and 3D → | 1 to 2 min | Website, presentations | A programme or a process laid out in diagrams. |
Strasbourg, the practical side
A one-stop desk of the City and the Eurometropolis centralises the procedures: request at least 10 working days beforehand, 15 if traffic is affected.
Listed centre, institutions, airport and border: few flights possible, each checked beforehand.
In December, crowds and a security perimeter on the Grande Île: schedule to adapt.
Parliament, Council of Europe: indoor filming only with their consent and under their rules.
Strasbourg settings
Half-timbering, imperial avenues, institutional glass, harbour quays: within a few tram stops, the city completely changes architecture. Six areas to choose the right setting.
UNESCO-listed historic heart, Place Kléber, cathedral and alleys: an emblematic and very busy setting, where it is better to film at dawn.
Half-timbered houses, covered bridges and the Vauban dam: the postcard image of Strasbourg, ideal for an opening shot or an outdoor interview.
Place de la République, Palais du Rhin, grand avenues of the German period: a monumental setting, also a World Heritage site.
European Parliament, Council of Europe, European Court of Human Rights: contemporary façades for an institutional or international subject.
Converted former warehouses, Malraux media library, Shadok, basins: a more contemporary Strasbourg, all the way to the Rhine port.
Palais de la Musique et des Congrès, exhibition park, Wacken business district: the home ground of congresses, trade shows and conventions.
Method
Scoping video call, procedures with the Filming Office, filming on site, editing in Lyon, subtitling and online approval.
Objective, languages, dates: a detailed proposal, high-speed train and night on site included.
Request to the Filming Office, venue access, interview outline, list of languages.
A congress or a series of interviews fits in one day; a full institutional film takes two.
Editing, colour, mixing, subtitles: each language approved separately.
Multilingual distribution
A film intended for several countries can be subtitled or produced in several versions. The choice is made at the writing stage, never at the editing stage.
On Victador, all exchanges and deliverables were in English. The translations themselves are supplied or approved by your teams. A live broadcast with interpretation or a multi-camera studio requires a production company.

Languages, audiences, media: twenty minutes on the phone to choose the right formula. No obligation.

About
I have been working since 2018 with institutions, companies and event organisers, from writing to 3D. On a congress or a big day, a second operator joins me; you deal only with me.

It is built from writing, the number of days, post-production and options: subtitles, language versions, animation. The high-speed train from Lyon and accommodation appear on a separate line. Each item is detailed on my pricing page.
In Strasbourg, a department dedicated to filming, shared by the City and the Eurometropolis, centralises the procedures and directs you to the relevant services. The request to occupy public space must reach it at least 10 working days beforehand, 15 in case of traffic measures. I prepare this file.
Very rarely in the city centre: listed heritage, European district, Strasbourg-Entzheim airport very close and the German border. I check each case; most often, I offer shots taken from a roof or a window, with the owner’s consent.
Façades can be filmed from public space, within the City’s rules. Inside the European Parliament or the Council of Europe, everything goes through their departments and their own access conditions.
Yes. Victador ran entirely in English, with Yaxo in Toronto. For other languages, I rely on translations supplied or approved by your teams, as subtitles or separate versions.
Under four hours by direct high-speed train, with about ten departures a day. A one-day shoot therefore involves a night on site, the day before or the same evening.
In December, the Grande Île hosts the Christmas market: dense crowds and access controls. A corporate shoot there is complicated; the market’s atmosphere, on the other hand, can be captured handheld, with very little equipment.
Yes: the Eurometropolis (Schiltigheim, Illkirch-Graffenstaden, Lingolsheim, Bischheim), Haguenau, Sélestat, Obernai, Molsheim, but also Colmar, Mulhouse and Kehl, on the other side of the Rhine.
Corporate film, interviews, congress: a director, with a second operator if needed, is enough. Live broadcast with interpretation, control room, synchronised cameras: you need a production company, presented on the page dedicated to video production, in Paris.
Yes, in-house: maps, animated figures, titles in several languages, 3D elements integrated into footage. Victador shows the level of compositing possible.
Yes: plenaries, workshops, speaker interviews and atmosphere, then an aftermovie and clips. At the Palais de la Musique et des Congrès as elsewhere, access and positions are defined with the organiser.
From May to September, days are long and the light beautiful on the quays. Winter is cold and short on light; December is dominated by the Christmas market. Parliament sessions also animate the European district.
Not necessarily: a video call is enough to scope the film, and scouting can take place the day before the shoot. Editing and subtitles are then approved online.
Website, social media, trade shows, screens, intranet, presentations abroad: the music licences cover these media. For television or billboards, we add it to the quote.
