The village of Megève under the snow

Videographer in
Megève.

Boutiques, galleries, craftspeople, client receptions and major sporting events: Megève expects images worthy of its elegance. I make brand, craftsmanship and event films in the village and on its estates, two hours from Lyon.

The same care on every project, whether you are
a large group, an SME or an institution.

The Megève style

A village where
everything is polished.

Wooden façades, cobbled lanes, carefully dressed windows: in Megève, the setting is part of the message. I compose each shot with the same care your teams give to hospitality, and I take care over the light, often beautiful but changeable in the mountains.

Hosting and showing it

For Koezio’s 20th anniversary, I filmed the guests’ arrival, the conversations and the evening: a company’s hospitality experience, without breaking the atmosphere.

The documentary shot for the Musée Henri Martin follows two artists at work. The same patience serves to film a craftsperson, a designer or a house of tradition.

About two hours

Megève is reached by car in a little over two hours from Lyon, via the A40 to Sallanches. For a dawn shoot or an evening event, I stay in the village or nearby.

Case studies

Welcome, convey,
enhance.

A company celebrating twenty years, two artists filmed in their world, a brand film where 3D joins in: three ways of showcasing a craft, as the houses, boutiques and organisers of Megève do. Each case study presents the film.

Koezio — 20 years, corporate event film

KOEZIO · 20 YEARS

An anniversary day, in three stages

For its twentieth anniversary, Koezio scheduled a team afternoon, conferences and an evening party. The film accompanies these three phases seamlessly, adapting the framing and light to each moment. A brand hosting its clients in Megève for a presentation, a dinner or a seasonal evening can keep the same record of its hospitality.

MUSÉE HENRI MARTIN · CAHORS

Time to look

For the Musée Henri Martin, in Cahors, I directed a documentary on Jeffrey & Sally, an artist couple, for which I also handled the filming and editing. A contemplative approach, attentive to materials, gestures and natural light. A woodworker, a mountain fashion designer or a village gallery can be filmed with the same delicacy.

When the image goes further

On Victador, a brand film made with Yaxo in Toronto, I handled the compositing: an SR-71 Blackbird integrated behind supercars, with Adrien Lafourcade for the aircraft’s materials and logo. For a premium brand, 3D makes it possible to add a piece, a setting or a season without an additional shoot.

Megève, the practical side

Filming in Megève: good to know.

Municipality and ski areas

Streets and squares: municipality’s consent. Slopes and lifts: ski-area operator’s consent.

Drone

Village, slopes and altiport: every flight is checked beforehand.

High season

Winter holidays and festive season: very busy village, difficult parking, schedule to adapt.

Light

The sun disappears quickly behind the summits in winter: I schedule exteriors around midday.

Megève settings

Megève, from the village
to the alpine pastures.

Centre alleys, mountain chalets, slopes and summits facing Mont Blanc: the settings change at every bend, and each has its own light hours. Six areas to know.

The village

Church square, pedestrian streets, horse-drawn carriages and shop windows: the heart of Megève, ideal for a boutique, a house or a festive atmosphere.

Mont d’Arbois

The most sought-after slope, between golf course, chalets and pistes: a setting for a brand film or a quiet reception.

Rochebrune

The ski area accessible from the village, with its alpine pastures and mountain restaurants: open views for an interview or a portrait.

Le Calvaire

The chapel path overlooking the village: a place of heritage and contemplation, for gentle opening images.

Le Jaillet and Combloux

On the north side, more family-friendly slopes and a panorama of Mont Blanc: perfect for seasonal content or a photo-video session.

Demi-Quartier and Praz-sur-Arly

The quieter neighbouring villages: farms, workshops and open landscapes for a subject on craftsmanship or local produce.

Method

Simple, from brief
to film.

Scoping video call, consents from the municipality and venues, filming in the village or at altitude, editing in Lyon, online approvals.

Lasting film or seasonal content

A film that lasts or
seasonal images?

A brand film is watched for years; seasonal content keeps your social media alive for a few weeks. The two are not filmed in the same way.

The brand film

  • — Tells your house’s story over time.
  • — Avoids overly dated details.
  • — Takes care over narrative and music.
  • — Works on the website and in the boutique.

Seasonal content

  • + Snow, festivities, current novelties.
  • + Short, reactive vertical formats.
  • + Filmed in one session, published quickly.
  • + Renewed every season.
  • + A calendar aligned with your highlights.

Both can be filmed during the same visit, with a well-built schedule. Live broadcasts and multi-camera shoots, on the other hand, are for a production company.

Portrait of Quentin Berguet, videographer and director

About

Quentin Berguet,
videographer-director.

Since 2018, I have been designing brand, portrait and event films, from writing to colour grading, with animation and 3D when the project calls for it. For a large reception, a second camera operator joins me; you keep the same director.

A few references: the Musée Henri Martin documentary, Victador, Mars Wrigley, Koezio, the DGAEV. From Lyon, Megève is about two hours by road.

FAQ · Megève

Megève:
your questions.

One more question? Write to me in a few words.

How much does a shoot in Megève cost?

The price varies according to writing, shooting time, editing and options (titles, 3D, short versions). The trip from Lyon and any night in the village are shown separately. My pricing page details each item.

Is a permit needed to film in the village?

For a shoot with equipment in the streets or on a square, the municipality of Megève must give its consent. On the slopes and lifts, it is the ski-area operator who authorises. In a boutique or a chalet, the owner’s consent is enough.

Can drone footage be shot?

Sometimes. The village, the operating ski areas and the presence of the altiport tightly regulate flights. I check feasibility for each location, always with a drone-free alternative.

Do you film private receptions?

Yes: collection presentations, dinners, seasonal evenings. I film the guests discreetly and have the images approved before any release.

Can you film a craftsperson or a house?

Yes, it is an exercise I enjoy: the film shot for the Musée Henri Martin accompanies two artists in their daily work. A cabinetmaker, a designer or a family house are filmed with the same attention.

How far from Lyon?

About two hours by car via the A40, Sallanches exit. For a morning shoot or an evening event, I stay in the village or nearby.

Do you film sporting events?

Yes: ski competitions, equestrian events or races. The method proven on the Afterwork Running (highlights listed, positions prepared with the organiser) applies to the mountains.

Do you work around Megève?

Yes: Combloux, Cordon, Saint-Gervais-les-Bains, Demi-Quartier, Praz-sur-Arly, Sallanches, Chamonix, Les Contamines-Montjoie, and further afield Annecy or Albertville.

When is a production company needed?

A brand film, a portrait or a reception is handled with a director and, if needed, a second camera operator. For a live broadcast or several synchronised cameras, you need a production company: my dedicated page, in Lyon, explains it.

Do you use 3D in a brand film?

Yes, sparingly: an object, a setting, a season added in 3D. The Victador compositing shows how far you can go without the image losing its naturalness.

Do you deliver formats for Instagram?

Yes: stories, reels and square formats, filmed during the same session as the main film and delivered with subtitles if needed.

When is the best time to film in Megève?

Winter for the snow and festive atmosphere, with crowds during the holidays. Summer for the alpine pastures and terraces. In spring and autumn, the village is quieter but some venues close.

Do we meet before the shoot?

Yes, by video call to start, then in the village the day before the shoot to scout the locations. Edit versions are then approved online.

Where can the videos be used?

Website, boutique, social media, trade shows, private presentations: the music licence includes these uses. Television or billboards are provided for in the quote.
